Torrin Ryan is an Uilleann piper, flute player, and whistle player with over 20 years of experience touring, teaching, performing, and playing Irish traditional music.

Uilleann Piping from the ‘Boros

This recording is a snapshot of what Irish music now means to me, thanks to the sources that have shaped and informed my piping over the past decades.

I’ve spent over a decade with this album’s concept in my mind: a fully solo album of uilleann piping in which I would accomplish every aspect with my own abilities. I played the tunes, recorded, mixed and mastered, and did the art all on my own. The intent is to showcase exactly who I am both musically and beyond at this moment in time. To have a ‘snapshot’ of sorts that I can be proud of and grow from. The music on this album is important and has grown with me, for one reason or another, and I’m happy to put it out into the world.
